One Year Later: Reviewing Obama's Promises and why is there not bipartisanship in the government? Because the democrats have pretty much said either you go along with our plans or we will force them down your throat since we have the votes to do it. I was brought up to believe that the government was FOR the people, the senators and reps seem to believe that the government is for THEM to act out their whims.
